Committee Councils
UUCOV has a Committee Council structure to coordinate activities that share an interest in a specific topic. The Coordinating Council, whose members serve as chairs of the individual Committee Councils, consists of 10 individuals plus the UUCOV Board of Trustees Vice President who serves as Chair. These individuals represent the following Committee Councils: Administration, Caring and Remembering, Communications, Finance, Lifespan Education, Membership, Physical Plant, Social Activities, Social Justice, and Sunday Morning Experience.
The duties of the Coordinating Council are to 1) improve coordination between committees, 2) facilitate the strategic planning process, 3) ensure integration of program planning and financial planning, 4) ensure board policies are implemented at the committee level, and 5) identify issues or concerns that need board attention.
Each Council Chair has responsibility for meeting with their designated committee(s) and/or committee chairs so as to be knowledgeable regarding their specific area of interest. The Vice President conducts monthly meetings with the chairs of the Councils and shares decisions that have been made by the Board of Trustees. Council Chairs bring issues or concerns to the meeting that are then shared by the Vice President with the Board of Trustees. All meetings of the Coordinating Council are open to any who are interested in attending.

Job Opportunities at UUCOV
There are, listed below, currently five volunteer opportunities available among our teams and committees that would last from April, 2013 to March, 2014. Any of these jobs can be shared among friends or seasonal and full-time residents. All of the jobs are for one year only and no job at UUCOV is done single-handedly. You will have plenty of help through committees as well as the advice and guidance of the person you're replacing. If nothing on the list appeals to you, but you would still like to help, we'll find you another volunteer outlet. There is always an opportunity at UUCOV for Being, Caring and Doing and UUCOV needs you so it can continue to thrive. If you are interested in helping fill these needs or would like more information, please contact Mary Taylor, Vice President Board of Trustees, This email address is being protected from spambots. Wish List
Our congregational committees have many varied needs in order to accomplish their goals and tasks. To help them towards those ends a "Wish List" program is being piloted. This program gives each UUCOV committee the opportunity to designate tangible items that would enhance their work.
Examples of such items might be rain barrels to help the Green Sanctuary in their efforts, pehaps large specimen trees or sound equipment for the Physcial Plant Group, or perhaps educational material for Lifespan Education.
Once identified, these requested items would be made known to the congregation at large as possible items to be donated. We all work to support the general operation of our congregation through our annual pledge, but this is an opportunity to support a project that may have special meaning to you.
