March 3rd, 1:30pm – 3:00pm
A gathering where people of different backgrounds discuss important ideas and issues. Each 90-minute session begins with a topic that forms the basis for thoughtful discussion reflecting participants’ unique experiences and perspectives. The gathering provides an opportunity to have an intelligent and stimulating conversation in an atmosphere of support and respect. All are welcome! Contact: Bill Dowling – or Linda Underwood –
Topic for March Plato’s Circle will be: Truth. Is truth an absolute? Some philosophers say truth is absolute and, preferably, objectively and scientifically proven. For others, truth is relative and is based on experience, rather than facts. What say you? Can you think of a time when truth or untruth had an impact on you? How do you seek truth? Are untruths ever required?
