Rev Amy Petrie Shaw

Reverend Amy Petrie Shaw is the developmental minister at UUCOV. Her work here centers on helping the congregation with staff role creation and clarification, staff and volunteer integration, and post-hurricane campus development.
Rev. Amy was born in Kentucky, and spent her early working life as a nurse, nurse executive, administrator, and educator. Her BA is in English Literature, and  she earned a Master of Divinity summa cum laude from Meadville Lombard Theological School in 2013.
She began her ministry as a contract minister at St. John’s UU Church in Cincinnati, OH, served six years as the settled minister at Lake Country UU Church in Heartland, WI, and three years as the settled Senior minister at the First Unitarian Church of Des Moines, IA. She currently serves our UUA as a Good Officer, or conflict resolution specialist, for the UUMA, and as a member of the Good Officer Coordinating Council.
Amy and her beloved friend Nancy live in Venice with three cats, a plethora of books, Nancy’s electric piano, an abundance of art supplies, and a towering stack of computer equipment.
