Living our Values Beyond the Sanctuary

At the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Venice, social justice is not an add-on; it is central to who we are. Guided by love, compassion, and our UU Principles, we work together to build a more just, equitable, and compassionate world.

Social Service: hands-on help and financial donations that support individuals and families in need.
Social Witness: publicly addressing justice issues in ways that reflect our values and commitments.
Social Education: discussion, study, and reflection that deepen our understanding of justice issues.
Social Action: organized action that seeks to remedy injustice and create lasting change.

We invite you to explore our calendar and attend our Social Justice Alliance meeting, held on the third Sunday of each month at 11:30 a.m.

Social Justice Alliance of the FL Suncoast

In 2023, UUCOV was proud to be a founding congregation of the Social Justice Alliance of the Florida Suncoast.
We continue this work through monthly Justice Socials that provide space to connect, network, and plan future activities.
The Social Justice Team provides information on nonpartisan political issues at both the local and national levels.
UUCOV is a Welcoming Congregation and affirms people of all sexual orientations, genders, and gender identities.
